West Covina Sportsplex Project Update
June 2006
Week of June 12th, 2006

Work on the proposed Big League Dreams site was highlighted by the 10th production blast conducted for the purpose of demolishing rock formations. Meanwhile, construction workers continued to fill the western end of the deep canyon as storm drain installation has started. Heavy machinery continues mass grading on the landfill top deck.


Storm drain work has begun, but rock formations on the site have impeded progress.

Week of June 5th, 2006

As clear weather allowed for the continued progress of mass grading over the past week, Southern California Edison began removing pre-existing cables as part of the electric dry utility work. Along the top deck, heavy machinery continued to apply clay on the North slope.
