Ms. Sue Rush began her career with the City of West Covina in 1987 in the Maintenance Department. During her tenure with the City, Ms. Rush has also worked in the Finance, Risk Management and Community Services Departments. Prior to her appointment to Assistant City Clerk in May 2005, Ms. Rush had served as the City's Deputy City Clerk for 4 years.

Ms. Rush grew up in the neighboring City of La Puente and was a 20 year resident of the City of West Covina. Even though she no longer lives in West Covina, she still considers West Covina her town.

Ms. Rush is a member of the City Clerks Association of Southern California, the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and the City Clerks Association of California.
