-Historic Survey-

I. Introduction

As part of its long-standing commitment to quality of life and community character, the City of West Covina commissioned an historic resources survey intending to identify and document the existing historic resources in the city built prior to 1946.

The survey was conducted by Historic Preservation Partners (HPP)¹ and included both a reconnaissance and intensive-level effort. This survey is the first comprehensive inventory of historic resources that has been undertaken. This careful documentation in the form of a survey represents the critical base line of knowledge, which will be required prior to developing policies for historic preservation and related planning objectives.
