This ordinance was introduced at the City Council meeting of December 7, 2004. This ordinance will change the zone from "General Commercial" (C-2) to "Service Commercial" (S-C). The "Service Commercial" zone will allow auto dealerships at the location while the existing zone does not. This ordinance will become effective 30 days after adoption, January 20, 2005.

I. Request of Cherrywood Street Residents
That the traffic conditions be reviewed on Garvey Avenue South and Cherrywood Street between Lark Ellen Avenue and Azusa Avenue.

Traffic Committee Recommendation:
That a multi-way stop be installed at the intersection of Cherrywood Street and James Avenue with stop ahead advance warning signs as prescribed in the State Standards.

That flashing beacon be installed on eastbound Garvey Avenue South to enhance stop ahead advance warning sign.

That existing Botts' Dots be extended to the edge of the gutter on Cherrywood Street.

  2. Direct the City Clerk to tabulate the votes cast by landowners within the CSS Community Facilities District; and

  3. Adopt the following resolution in the event that two-thirds or more of votes on the election be cast in favor of the levying of special taxes:
