1) 2006-2008 Budget Follow-Up Items
It is recommended that the City Council approve the following actions:
  1. Authorize the hiring of a consultant to perform a fire station location study/facility needs assessment and appropriate $30,000 from the Construction Tax Fund (160).
  2. Authorize the hiring of a consultant to perform a police facility needs assessment and appropriate $30,000 from the Construction Tax Fund (160).
  3. Approve moving the police vehicle evidence enclosure capital project into the 2006-07 CIP and appropriating $35,000 from the Construction Tax Fund (160).
  4. Approve publishing the Discover newsletter on a monthly basis (currently done bi-monthly) and appropriate $27,500 from the General Fund Reserve (Fund 110) and appropriate $27, 500 from the CDC reserve (Funds 876, 877 and 862).
