The MAGLEV Deployment Program involves the use of electromagnetic energy to propel a train-like vehicle along a monorail guideway at an estimated cruising speed of 200 miles per hour. The MAGLEV train is able to achieve such high speed because of the frictionless, contactless interaction of the vehicle with the guideway.
