Shannon Yauchzee

Shannon Yauchzee is a native of Southern California born in nearby Whittier, and a twenty-eight year resident of the San Gabriel Valley. Shannon is a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona University's School of Engineering, where he earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is also a registered California Professional Civil Engineer.

Shannon was previously employed in the private sector with Willdan Associates, a public-private partnership engineering firm. He then served as the City of West Covina's Building Official for six years and has continued serving the City of West Covina as the Public Works Director and City Engineer. He also serves as the City's traffic engineer and building official. He has served the City of West Covina for almost 15 years. He is dedicated to providing the community the highest levels of customer service.

Recently Mr. Yauchzee was instrumental in the City receiving two environmental awards. In 2009 the City won the top 20 nationwide award for Green Fleet Environmental Awareness. More recently, in 2011, the City was recognized with a Gold Level Achievement award from the San Gabriel Valley Energywise Partnership for energy savings. The City is one of only three Cities in the entire Southern California Edison service area to achieve Gold Level status.
