I. REQUEST:

George Hernandez, West Covina Resident

THAT NO PARKING ON STREET SWEEPING DAYS BE IMPLEMENTED ON DOUBLEGROVE STREET FROM WILLOW AVENUE TO SIESTA AVENUE.

SUMMARY:

In response to a request to prohibit parking to facilitate street sweeping on Doublegrove Street, a survey of the thirty affected properties was conducted. Sixteen of the property owners are in favor of prohibiting parking on the first and third Mondays of each month from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., three are not in favor, and eleven of the property owners did not respond to the survey.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

THAT PARKING BE PROHIBITED ON DOUBLEGROVE STREET FROM WILLOW AVENUE TO SIESTA AVENUE ON THE FIRST AND THIRD MONDAYS OF EACH MONTH FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 3:30 P.M. FOR STREET SWEEPING PURPOSES.

THAT A SURVEY BE INITIATED TO DETERMINE IF THE AFFECTED RESIDENTS DESIRE TO PROHIBIT OVERNIGHT PARKING (SECTION 22-175 OF THE WEST COVINA MUNICIPAL CODE) ON DOUBLEGROVE STREET FROM WILLOW AVENUE TO SIESTA AVENUE.

II. REQUEST:

THAT NO PARKING ON STREET SWEEPING DAYS BE IMPLEMENTED ON HOLLY PLACE FROM CAMERON AVENUE TO MOBECK STREET.

SUMMARY:

In response to a request to prohibit parking to facilitate street sweeping on Holly Place, a survey of the fourteen affected properties was conducted. Eight of the property owners are in favor of prohibiting parking on the second and fourth Mondays of each month from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., one is not in favor, and five of the property owners did not respond to the survey.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

THAT PARKING BE PROHIBITED ON HOLLY PLACE FROM CAMERON AVENUE TO MOBECK STREET ON THE SECOND AND FOURTH MONDAYS OF EACH MONTH FROM 7:00 A.M. TO 3:30 P.M. FOR STREET SWEEPING PURPOSES.
