I. REQUEST:

Roberta Azpeita, West Covina Resident.

TO INSTALL A SIGNALIZED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING ON BADILLO STREET AT DAVID COURT.

SUMMARY:

The residents of the senior housing complex have indicated that they frequently cross Badillo Street at David Court to patronize the restaurants and other services located at the retail center. They are concerned that crossing Badillo Street at this location is unsafe due to the vehicles' speeds.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:

THAT PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALK BE ESTABLISHED ON BADILLO STREET AT DAVID COURT WITH MODIFICATION TO THE EXISTING RAISED MEDIAN ISLANDS, INSTALLATION OF IN-ROADWAY LIGHTS, AND REQUIRED SIGNAGE.
