City of West Covina hosts Big League Dreams Dedication

WEST COVINA, CA - Join the City of West Covina to celebrate the dedication of Big League Dreams Sports Complex located at 2100 S. Azusa Ave. on Saturday, October 27th from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Residents are invited to this free celebration, which will include the unveiling of a memorial statue honoring former West Covina resident and New York Yankee Corey Lidle. Through out the day there will be a variety of children's activities, refreshments, exhibition softball game between West Covina Police Department and the West Covina Fire Department and youth exhibition games.

Residents are invited to tour the six replica fields, which include Angel Stadium, Dodger Stadium, Fenway Park, Tiger Stadium, Wrigley Field and Yankees Stadium. In addition to the baseball field's residents are invited to view the covered pavilion, two children's playgrounds, nine station batting cage and two-sports-themed restaurants.

Parking for the event will be located at the Target/Home Depot site located at 2370 S. Azusa Ave. The city will provide shuttle service from the parking lot to the park from noon - 7:00 p.m.
