Lions Club of West Covina 38th Annual "Night on The Town" on May 28, 2008
WEST COVINA, CA - Members of the West Covina Lions Club will host their 38th annual Night on the Town fundraising event on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the local Regal/Edwards 18 Cinemas in West Covina. The event will offer guests a movie ticket that will be good at any time, at any Regal/Edwards Cinema, and with no expiration date. The fun begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20.

The Night on the Town will also feature free food samples and champagne, donated by local restaurants and food caterers. The evening will include a silent auction, featuring themed gifts baskets at great prices.

The funds raised at this event allow the West Covina Lions Club to provide annual eye screenings to over 3,000 West Covina school students. Without these screenings, many of local children may never have had their vision checked. During the past six years, the Lions have covered the cost of eye screenings for more than 20,000 students. In addition, this event has enabled the West Covina Lions Club to put thousands of dollars back into the community through service projects sponsored by more than 34 community organizations.
