Recreation Gets Mobile!
Disappointed that your local park site does not offer recreational programming? Perhaps you live too distant from the City's three community centers to take advantage of classes, crafts and games. Say no more! Soccer The Community Services Department recently adopted a Mobile Recreation Program to help bring these recreation services to you. The program brings wellness, fitness, and education into various neighborhoods not previously served by the Department, including Gingrich Park (1835 Woodgate Drive) and Friendship Park (3740 South Sentous).

Overall, this includes not only providing recreational activities to youth in the community, but also facilitates educational and learning opportunities for all age groups. For example, through the collaboration of Police and Fire Departments, the program promotes activities such as safety training and neighborhood watch programs.

If you or someone you know would benefit from these services, please contact the Community Services Department at (626) 939-8430.
