Eye-Das II
A daytime support group for the sight impaired on the first Monday of every month, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. in Room 4. It is open to anyone - wearing glasses to total blindness. The group will also offer an opportunity for socialization, education, sharing of similar problems and the seeking of solutions. Please tell those who cannot read this about the group. Bereavement Group...How Can I Survive?
A ten-week support group for individuals who have experienced the death of a loved one. The group will combine education with a supportive approach. The goal is to assist survivors through the painful process of grief work in addition to reducing the possible harmful physical and psychological after-effects from the death of a loved one. Register with Social Services to join the next group (626) 967-7251.

Alzheimer Caregivers Support Group
Meetings from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month in the TV Room. To register, call (626) 963-6000.

CAPS Alzheimer's Day Services
CAPS Alzheimer's Day Services is an adult day care program specializing in care for older adults with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. CAPS provides a safe and friendly environment in which persons experiencing memory loss and confusion can socialize with others and participate in enjoyable activities such as music, crafts, and exercise. CAPS also focuses on helping family members and caregivers by providing support groups, free educational seminars, consultation, and a rest from the difficult task of caregiving.

CAPS is a nonprofit organization which assists persons with Alzheimer's disease or with any kind of memory loss. Our services provide Day Care for the elderly so that they may me able to live at home longer with their loved ones, rather than being placed in an assisted living environment.
