West Covina's Deep Blue Sea

In fact, fossils of marine life dating 5 to 12 million years ago can be found in exposed rock in the San Jose Hills in West Covina. Hunt and prepare some fossils in Galster Park, learn about prehistoric marine life, and participate in activities that reveal the natural history of our community.
