|Mosquito|Southern House Mosquito (Culex quinquefasciatus)
This is the most common mosquito in the San Gabriel Valley. The adult is about 1/4 inch (6mm) long. Females lay their eggs on non-moving water like in forgotten buckets, unused swimming pools, and other containers left standing around. You can help control this mosquito by making sure containers are empty and dry and swimming pools are maintained.
