SCORE Workshop

City of West Covina to Host Free Business Workshop on Opening and Operating a Restaurant

WEST COVINA, CA –The City of West Covina and SCORE are hosting a “Restaurant Start-Up Essentials” workshop on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the West Covina Council Chambers (located at 1444 W. Garvey Avenue South, West Covina, CA 91790). Mr. McNally will guide your restaurant towards profitable ventures.

The workshop will be presented by Mr. Greg McNally, CEO of Food Power Inc., a business advisory firm to restaurant operators, property owners and investors in southern California. Food Power specializes in solving complex restaurant problems for clients. Areas of focus include increasing profitability, developing operational excellence, assessing investment value and market opportunity, team and culture development, turnarounds, and expansion planning. Mr. McNally has over 20 years of experience owning and operating multiple restaurants independently and with partners, as well as working for publicly-traded national chains, and 10 years as an advisor and consultant. Mr. McNally will offer advice geared towards both types of entrepreneurs.

During the workshop, Mr. McNally will discuss the critical path to opening a successful restaurant, as well as identify those industry-specific challenges unique to restaurant operations. Learn how to define your restaurant’s concept, the basics of restaurant finances and numerical benches, the realistic capital requirements, and much more. With Mr. McNally’s experience and expertise, this is a great opportunity for attendees to get an insight on how to best open and operate a restaurant with the right essentials.
