"My Healthy Hometown" Prescription Drug Program
The City of West Covina joins the National League of Cities "My Healthy Hometown" Prescription Drug Program
The City of West Covina will offer residents valuable savings on everyday prescription medicine costs. The City of West Covina has announced its participation in the National League of Cities (NLC) “My Healthy Hometown” Prescription Discount Program which allows West Covina residents the opportunity to save money with discounts on everyday prescription medicine costs.
The My Healthy Hometown Prescription Discount Program is free to all residents of West Covina. By showing a My Healthy Hometown Prescription Discount Card at a participating retail pharmacy, a West Covina resident can receive an average of 24%* off the retail price of prescription medicine. There are no annual limits placed on use, no forms to fill out, no waiting periods, no age or income requirements and no medical condition restrictions. Residents can obtain their free My Healthy Hometown Prescription Discount Cards at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, the West Covina Senior Center, Shadow Oak Community Center and Cameron Park Community. They can also download a card online at www.westcovina.org/healthyhometown or obtain one by calling toll-free 1-888-620-1749.
Prescription discounts are good for the whole family and apply to pet medicines, too. Any resident, regardless of health insurance status, may show their card to save on the cost of all prescription purchases.
The national My Healthy Hometown Prescription Discount Program is encouraging the use of social media to spread the word and gauge satisfaction. West Covina residents can help spread the word to others about the program by sharing their discount stories using #MyHealthyHometown in their social media posts.
The My Healthy Hometown Free Prescription Discount Program is NOT insurance.
*Savings may vary by prescription drug and by pharmacy.
