The City of West Covina continues to monitor the public health situation associated with COVID-19 and is taking necessary precautions due to the heighten concerns over the spread of COVID-19.
As the health and safety of our residents is of paramount importance, the City of West Covina has closed City Hall to the public and suspended all City-sponsored events until further notice. The City Attorney is appointed by the City Council and provides legal counsel and assistance to the City Council and all City Hall departments.
The City Attorney represents and advises the City Council, Boards and Commissions, Officers and Employees in all matters of law pertaining to their offices and official activities; prepares all proposed ordinances, resolutions and amendments; prepares or approves the form of all other legal documents and represents the City in litigation to which the City is a party. City Attorney services are provided on a contractual basis.
