The City of West Covina purchased the three "Coastal Sage Scrub/Golf Course" assets located at the BKK Landfill site (130-acres) and the rights to the area on the top deck that is under license (84.27-acres) by the former the Successor Agency to the former Redevelopment Agency in 2018. 

The City of West Covina will be hosting two Community Workshops to solicit community input on a possible development at the former BKK Landfill site. The workshop will be organized as a charrette to facilitate as much public participation on the types of amenities residents would like to be developed on the former BKK Landfill site.

Workshops will run from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm:

The City encourages all stakeholders to attend a workshop and provide the City with comments and feedback on the possible development.  For more information about the community meetings, please visit the City’s website at It is important to note these workshops will be ran by the City of West Covina.  The informational sessions on the former BKK Landfill site hosted by a local organization are not related to the City hosted workshops.
