The City of West Covina purchased the three "Coastal Sage Scrub/Golf Course" assets located at the BKK Landfill site (130-acres) and the rights to the area on the top deck that is under license (84.27-acres) by the former the Successor Agency to the former Redevelopment Agency in 2018. 

The City of West Covina will be hosting two Community Workshops to solicit community input on a possible development at the former BKK Landfill site. The workshop will be organized as a charrette to facilitate as much public participation on the types of amenities residents would like to be developed on the former BKK Landfill site.

Workshops will run from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm:

The City encourages all stakeholders to attend a workshop and provide the City with comments and feedback on the possible development.  For more information about the community meetings, please visit the City’s website at http://www.westcovina.org. It is important to note these workshops will be ran by the City of West Covina.  The informational sessions on the former BKK Landfill site hosted by a local organization are not related to the City hosted workshops.
