Youth Council LA County Fair

The West Covina Youth Council was established in October of 1999 and has emerged into a valuable resource and voice for young persons living in West Covina. Not only does the program offer students an opportunity to connect with government, but youth are also exposed and encouraged to participate in community service projects and special events. Making your mark on the world…it is what every young mind aspires to do.

West Covina Youth Council gives every teenager, age 14-18, the opportunity to contribute to their community, through volunteerism and through active discussions that address challenges they are facing and efforts to enhance the quality of their lives. Youth Council is a fun and simple way to earn volunteer hours for school; colleges are always drawn towards the students who are well-rounded and play an active role not only on their school campus but their community.

Goals of the Youth Council:

  • To identify and address youth challenges. To improve the health and livability of youth in West Covina.
  • To promote positive and enjoyable youth programs.
  • To be active in recreational, educational, and social service projects important to West Covina Youth.
