What is Electronic Waste (E-Waste)?

The term "e-waste" is applied to consumer electronic equipment that is no longer working or wanted. Since electronics may contain lead, copper, and other heavy metals or potentially toxic substances, it is critical that any e-waste be disposed of properly.

Television sets, TV/VCR combos. Computer equipment such as keyboards, CPUs, monitors, mice, keyboards, printers, scanners or any other computer peripheral. Personal Electronics such as stereos, cell phones, calculators, telephones, alarm clocks, radios, microwaves, answering machines, etc.
Please Note: For refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers or other "bulky" items contact Athens Services at least one day before your regular collection day to schedule a pick-up. Limit of five (5) items per week for single family homes. Please call (626) 336-6100
